Does mott ever freeze? Or is it frozen now?

Yea it freezes just fine but you have to careful with the river channel. I'll try and get a general ice report if I can, got a friend headed to check it out now.

Sorry about that he went out by the beach said he was on 6" no fish.

Is it as good for walleye through the ice as it is in spring? Kind of a stupid question just don't know if the fish perfer the river in the winter. I would assume whenever Holloway is slow the fish are likely in the lake.

I fished it 08 and 09 winter thru ice....much worse thru ice than open water, only would get small perch and crappie, not even keeper size. 08 was a banner year for eyes in open water, too, fwiw.

Havent fished it since then thru the ice, only open water.

Also, flint river fishes well in february for eyes before the closure. I recommend the flushing area.
