Any one have eyes on Burt Lake? We have a trip scheduled for the weekend after New Year. But I'm starting to fear there may not be ice.

I wouldn’t count on ice fishing that weekend , sorry to say . I have eyes on Mullett and can update in this thread . Nothing at all on the bigger lakes , drove by crooked today and there is one very small area frozen .

I always go up Presidents Day weekend in February.....there is still hope for ice by then.

Last year Mullett didn’t get good ice till February 1.

Crooked lake is roughly half frozen over .. No ice yet on Burt or Mullett . Temperatures looking good this week for making ice though

Thank you everyone. We have a back up plan as it looks like Burt might not happen. But we are keeping our hopes up. Hopefully we go and I can report on a good three days of fishing. If you locals can keep us apprised of the situation, I'd be happy supply a couple beers on January 7-10

Burt was getting shore ice but nothing more. It should lock up after this cold snap we have coming. Mullet will be a while.

Give it a week, really cold weather moving in. U prolly be walking but I bet it’s not far from freezing now just need some cold days. Which it’s suppose to drop in the teens here in Harrison so it be even colder up there

Crooked looked positively horrible yesterday.

Nothing on the north arm of Burt Lake. We saw it starting to freeze a week or so, but winds, waves, and warmer temps have taken it all away. Maybe we'll see it starting up again in the next few days
