I've bee looking at all the new posts by shoeman and OSD on new flies for the library and couldn't resist. Here's one I came up with this summer and (for lack of something better) call the Bloody Booger.

Recipe:
Hook: TMC 300 (or the like) size 2-4
Tail: 5-8 strands of green krystal flash surounded by a cartruse or olive grizzely maribou feather.
Body: green floss.
Rib: chartruse "ultra wire".
Wing: 10-12 strands of green krystal flash under A medium clump of cyote fur under 5-6 black ostrich hearls.
Cheeks/Gills: Red under-wing or shoulder feathers of a golden pheasant (the blood in the booger, don't scrimp on this part) under a chartruse or olive grizzely maribou feather tied in at each side behind the head.
Head: Yellow deer hair trimmed wide and flat on the underside like a sculpin.

Hope you like it. Good luck!:)

Hey Al good to see you back on here it's been a while. Cool looking fly How's it fish?Do you add any lead to the fly or use a sinking line? I missed you and flyingcrayfish up at PM during the Salmon Slam, I was up there the then and the week before, I had a ball. Now that hunting season is almost over we'll have to plan a fly tying get together with Adam and anyone else interested. I'll talk to you soon, Eric

Sorry about missing you Eric. I missed everyone this year due to several situations, but I did have a ball myself when I was able to make it up there;). How does the fly fish? Well, as I said it's pretty new, but maybe we can do some further testing on it this summer below Mio:D. I think It may be a winner. So far so good. Got a pm from Adam the other day. We'll have to set something up after Christmas. Pm me.

OSD.
Thanks. Yup, That's pretty much what I was going for. Kinda' along the lines of a 'Couger or a Madonna (I hope).
