Hunted Saturday morning in my normal late season spot. Not much action at all. Saw a few ducks fly over then a few shots up the creek. A few seconds later I see a sigle duck working the tree line. I coundn't see where the duck went so figured it continued on. Later I here a duck quack a hundred yards down the creek. Told my huntin partner(new guy) that I would see if I could jump shoot the duck. Sure enough jump shot a nice black duck. Here is where the story gets good, when we where leaving the creek. I came across a dead Black duck laying at the edge of the field that runs along the creek. It still had wet drops of blood on its breast. So I figured the one I shot was looking for the one I found being it was only maybe 50yrds aprt. I had just told my huntin partner that they are almost always in pairs. Out of all the places that Black duck could of fell it fell right along the path where we would walk. I think it was shot by the hunters up the creek from us. What do you all think.
