I scored some very nice black cork from a guy who purchased the sheets from Willy McDonald about 30 years ago. It is10lb density with very uniform ganule size and limited voids. Four sheets became laminated Canada bodies. I sealed these birds with thinned epoxy and a couple of base coats of rustoleum prior airbrushing on the background feather groups and painting the feathers and borders. I used our first big melt to get these done outdoors but then switched over to fishing steelhead and inshore salmon unitl the snow came back. I qm gluingup the remaining bodies today, but won't do any grinding on them until it gets warm enough to work outside due to the mess black cork creates.
