Crows working over a Beaver carcass I skinned this morning. Took them all of 10 minutes to come in after I laid it out there. I didn't believe my ears when I heard a Raven overhead, but sure enough, there was one. I have lived in the Grand Rapids/Rockford area my whole life and never heard a Raven this far south. Last year I heard one in Northern Kent, along the Newaygo county line, but never this far south.

Thanks! Sadly, It’s an IPhone 12 mini on “live shot” held up to Leupold 10x binoculars through my back slider window. Sometimes it works, most times it’s still grainy.

This hawk swooped in fast to the bird feeder, swing and a miss. Coopers hawk, maybe.

Our feeders are full, the suet cakes are busy and I put cracked corn on the ground. I ran the snow blower under the big feeders to clear the snow so I can throw feed out for the ground feeders.
