A while back I posted some photos of BIGSP's gunstock that I was in the process of re-finishing and a couple of you guys asked to see some photos of the finished gun. I had the barrels bead blasted and re-blued for him and picked up the buttstock today with its new recoil pad (Pachymar Sporting Clays.) About 75 % of the figure was hidden underneath the factory stain and finish. Amazing how a couple of hundred bucks along with some elbow grease, wet/dry sandpaper and some Tru-Oil can transform a "plain jane" field gun into something to be really proud of. Not bad for a Beretta 686 but I'm stilll...Ruger1.

I'm jealous! Nice gun and yes, you've uncovered a gorgeous stock, characteristic of some very expensive guns.
