I’d guess 28 pounds. Saw a thirty out of Crystal one year, wasn’t quite 40 long, but very chubby (burping out smelt).

Official weight from captain chucks was just under 26#. That was 14hrs after it was caught. Our scale on the boat(unofficial) was bouncing at 30#-31#. It actually hit a orange hulk mag on a 420 copper. Took about 35-45 mins to get it in. We had rookies reeling on Saturday night. Fish peeled drag like a big king. Even till the end when we seen what we had it still took 2 runs at the back of the boat. Fish was unbelievable…. So happy for them guys.
