I'm gonna be home this week (home is Traverse City)...I'm interested in doing some pheasant hunting on a good ranch/preserve.

Any suggestions of places in the N. Lower area that don't charge an arm and a leg for good hunting?

I just went pheasant hunting at Cherry Creek Ranch (or Farm) near Mio. I know that's a ways away from you but it was the nicest "ranch" experience I have had. Guide was great, the grounds were excellent with all types of cover being offered, not just a cornfield w/ some high weeds to hide the birds in. Price was $125 for five birds which included lunch, which was homecooked and excellent as well. Check it out if you can get over that way.
