Awesome!
Yeah I'd you go their YouTube they have a section of classics alot of old hunts when Kirby was chasing all his slamsWas that Dick Kirby ?
I was around Dick Kirby and their whole New York Quaker Boy crew back in the day. Dick and Quaker boy were a big part of the new Turkey hunting craze that erupted in the 80s and beyond. They gave lots of products and speaking engagements to many NWTF chapters to raise funds for turkey management. Great partners. Dick left this world way too early on a crazy complication from surgery. Some of the other early
Quaker boy guys have passed on too. His son runs the company now I believe.

[/QUOTE Dick did a seminar in Mt Pleasant years ago then called in the NWTF contest there. He beat all of us Michigan boys and told me that was his one hundredth contest win.
He's one of the greats for sure.... I still feel fortunate to grow up reading stuff from folks like him and not learning during the YouTube generation... I was coaching high school football years ago and heading to a seminar with another coach. Sitting on the console was a cassette of Dick Kirby of Quaker Boy making turkey sounds that I would practice to while driving. The coach looked at the tape and wanted to know what kind of band and music the Quaker Boys played.I have some of those old QB long boat paddle boxes. QB was one of the old time family call makers that gave back plenty to the turkey world. Im still fortunate to trade some hunts with some of those old QB guys that are left. Certainly is sad that they are going the way of the dinos as you say. Seemed like a simpler era. Face to face interaction with little social media. Sure wouldn't have been texting on a forum like this. Everything changes.
