There are way too many spots to list them here. I would recommend starting at the numerous public boat launches. As far as how far out, it all depends on where you access and what your fishing for.
Read some of the other HL threads. I think one guy had his trailer go thru behind his quad:yikes:. I may go up tomorrow but I'm most likely taking the airboat.
