My son has 7 points and looking for a bear guide next year. He ask me to go on this site and ask for a bear guide and what is the best area to get a large bear. He is interested in hunting with dogs or bait. Thanks.

My understanding of finding big bears in Michigan is to try for the Carney BMU. It has a good mix of bear habitat and agriculture to keep weights and population up, so tags aren't insanely tough to get and the bears can be big.

In order to get big bears ,you have to pass up a lot of small ones. Good Luck

S&B Outfitters, bait and or hound hunts. These guys have great dogs, great to be around, and they’ll bust their butts to get you on a bear.
