I have a husky battery on 2 mowers that sit all winter NOT on a charger and they start right up in the spring.

Yep batteries are funny like that my OEM went 6 years no charger. Bought an auto zone went 2 years. Got a 1/2 price lawn mower battery at Lowes 9 years still going though I do hit it with a charge in the spring now. With the new smart chargers 1.5 is high they go by whats needed and conditions including outside and internal temp. Smart 3.3 is a full hit and it slows as it gets near to full. It trickles in the tenths .1-.2 Will shut off when full then trickle its not constant
