If I were you I wouldn't bother with a basket. they wear-out to fast. When I was using a basket I had to get a NEW one every year.

If you can find a 30 or 40 gal. jug cut it down and install back straps the only thing that will wear out will be the straps.

Now that you say that, a basket would work great mushroom hunting.

Have you checked your local Grander Mountain? They carry trapping stuff and the ones in Grand Rapids do have baskets.
