You're better off looking at places where there's water running into the lake - creek & river mouths, ditches, etc.

lower clinton should have shad in it. I've seen quite a few last year at budd park. Thanks for reminding me. Need to get bait for ice.

Usually get mine in huron river at flat rock - water low and none around last time I checked

There are certainly some in the lower lake, judging from stomach contents of fish caught.

All the SCR Tribs will have them now. Most you net will be as big as your hand.
