The Michigan Department of Natural Resources
announced today that construction will begin Monday, Sept. 14, on the Au Gres River Mouth boat launch in Arenac County.

The site, located east of U.S. 23 on Riverside Drive, will have partial ramp closures until construction is completed sometime in November. During construction the launch ramp will be reduced to one pier with two launch/retrieve lanes.

The new boat ramp will provide improved access to Lake Huron at the Au Gres river mouth. This $65,000 project is being funded by the Michigan DNR Parks and Recreation Division's boating program.

For more information, contact Chuck Allen, unit supervisor, at [email protected] or 989-362-5041.

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry to the Au Gres River Mouth boating access site.
