Is it legal to catch a fish legally, say a Bluegill or Perch and take it home and keep it in an aquarium ? My buddy and I were talking about this the other day while sifting thru a hundred dinks.

I thought if a fish was of legal minimum size and not subject to a closed season you could do it. If it was illegal, well I've witnessed several illegal acts...
Correct.. perch, gills from most likes have no size limit so no problem. With Bass, pike and other fish where is a size limit and season then could not possess in the off-season.

Or as posted above get live fish from a store (market). Or from a private pond where state laws do not apply .
