We get so many requests for fly tying classes I thought I'd post this email I received.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL:
Deer Hair Bugs with Tim Thomas
Tim’s deer hair bugs are considered “the best of the
best,” creative, durable and productive fish
catchers. His technique is ‘hair stacking’ which
builds thick, tightly packed bodies that don’t
come apart when you cast or after the first fish.
If you fish largemouth, pike or muskie or want
to improve your deer hair technique this is your class.
This is an intermediate level class and not
suitable for new tyers.
Saturday Feb 4 10am-2pm 4 students
at Colton Bay Outfitters
$60.00 includes all materials and use of our tools.
Payment reserves your spot.

BEGINNER’S CLASSES:
Introduction to Fly Tying with Rusty Kalmbach
A class to teach you the basics of tying with
an emphasis on technique. When you finish
this class you should be able to look at a
pattern or recipe and know how to tie it. The
class meets four consecutive Thursday evenings –
February 16 & 23 and March 2 & 9 here at
Colton Bay from 6-7:30pm. We supply the tools
and materials for in-class use. The cost is $100.00,
six students maximum and payment reserves
your spot. You won’t find a better instructor than
Rusty – a great tyer and a great teacher – an
unbeatable combination. If you’ve been talking
about tying now is the time to get started.
There is plenty of time to learn and build up
a supply of flies for the season!
