I posted this over in the waterfowl forum, but I thought this might help someone in the future if they did a search on here for gun cases.

This year I was lucky enough to be able to fly back to Missouri for Thanksgiving and Christmas. So I needed to buy a gun case for air travel. I've got what I think is a nice gun, but I'm also cheap. So I almost "saved" a few dollars by getting a cheaper case, but I decided not to because sometimes you get what you pay for. I ended up getting a pelican and I'm glad I did! In two round trips with two different airlines they beat the snot out it! I thought there's no way anything can happen now with this tank of a case, but they tried. There are dents and grooves all over the cases now.

Moral of the story; if you're gonna fly, spend the money on a good case!

I also put two locks keyed the same on each end.
