I can only speculate on what may have happened , but at this point it looks to be coping pretty well.
The shots were taken on back to back days a few hundred yards apart.

hope so

doesnt look to be weight bearing on that leg when standing still

What you think may have happened...a yote? Can't see a fawn being able to get away from one. Cut on a fence possibly?

Not a fence anywhere within 4 miles, my first instinct is a close encounter with a yote but I really have no idea.

No shortage of them here for sure Vic. You take out half a dozen and a dozen replace them it seems....:sad:

Lucky for sure Don. I thinking a car brushed him. A little too big for a yote bite.

Thats possible too Tom, I've considered that but knowing how much reckless energy these little guys seem to have it could just have been a close encounter with a tree, something I'll never know for sure.

Hard to tell, could be road rash from a car.
