My buddy and I set up in an oat field this morning that we knew had a lot of birds flying over it. We only used about two dozen full bodies set up in one flock of about 15 and couple other small flocks.
Well, shortly after 7:00 flocks started coming toward our field. With a lot flagging and a little calling birds started working our decoys. First flock saw us take three, then we got a loner, a little later a group of three came in and none of them left.
With seven birds down (one banded) and still more birds flying in the area we decided to get out of there and save it for a future hunt.
Sorry there are no pics I keep forgetting to take the camera with us.

Sounds like a good idea to not get too greedy so you can save that spot for another chance at a good hunt. Good Job !!!

Yes, that is true for sure! Also, a game strap. Bring either of those, and you're setting yourself up for an 0'fer.
Leave the camera in the car, take the pix in the parking lot!
