The Lake St. Clair Walleye Association and the Gilbert's Sportsmen's Club is putting on the 6 th Annual Spring Classic fishing tournament. The dates are June 8 & June 9th.

You can start fishing at midnight Friday morning and have you largest Walleye in line at the weigh-in on Saturday between 2 and 4 pm. Then they will take all the fish and have a huge fish fry with all the extras.

Entry cost is $20 and there is a cash payout for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. In addition they have some extra payouts based on random drawings of the fish entered so everyone has a chance to go home with something extra along with the fine meal.

Entry forms are available at Lakeside in St. Clair Shores and several other bait shops along the lake and rivers. Call Stan Bydlos (586-716-7741) or Bo Soulliere (586-773-3811) or Geoff Regulski (586-772-2048) for more information.

I will try to put the entry form on a web site over the weekend.

Now it is the 7th annual tournament and fun event. This year's tournament is June 6 & 7 with the weigh-in on the 7th. The tri-fold brochure should be in area bait stores by this week. I saw them being dropped off at Blue Water yesterday.

This is a fun event with a chance for everyone to win something just for entering a Walleye.
