500 & 600 Michigan Buck Clubs
A spinoff of the 700 Club. Lots of us are never going to be in the 700 Club for a variety of reasons. #1 reason is that we may have never seen a(or very few) 140" buck alive in person or on camera in the area that we hunt.
Rules:
Michigan fair-chase bucks only.
Legally taken.
5 bucks score added together.
Gross score.......standard B&C scoring. CBM is B&C scoring.
If your bucks haven't been scored by CBM, put a tape to them yourself.
You can be in both clubs. Example: Your 5 best--611 3/8. Your 5 best bow--569 2/8. Your 5 best gun--587 7/8.
Another example: Your 5 best SLP bucks--657 6/8. Your 5 best NLP bucks--547 1/8. Your 5 best UP bucks 501 0/8.
And another: Your 5 best private land bucks--607 3/8. Your 5 best public land--561 5/8.

That's a fact. I got my first one on camera this fall. Haven't seen it on the hoof. Still waiting to hear if anyone tagged it this year. He disappeared right before firearms season.
Amen OGB. The true score should be the story behind the pursuit , quest, dream or just pure sh++house luck of the hunt.
I guess in my life my numerical score is under but pushing the 700 mark but like I've always said, when you take a tape and score a buck , " it's just a number ".
I like this thread but put some pics to it. I'll start it off in the slp where I have hunted for all my life for the elusive can wise one.

I like the post and congrats to the success of everyone. Here is a pic of one of my walls, I have a lot more. Also doesn't include this years buck but none have ever been. Scored.

Love the pedestal coyote OGB....as well as the deer. Congrats - you are definitely in the 500 - 600 inch club!
I am at about 670. About every other year I have one to hunt that would get me to 700. But they have eluded me since 2016. Oddly, my first child was born in 2016. I wonder if those things are related.

Never officially scored this deer and rack burned up in 2009 Barn fire. 115" on conservative side killed 11-21-2005
Gross 144" killed 11-15-2002 11 days after dad hit him in no mans land with a bow
142" killed Thanksgiving day 2000 - We were late for dinner but Grandma forgave us!
That puts me at 553 with 4 bucks. If you include the buck I killed this year which I haven't measured I'm somewhere in the 665-675 range I'd imagine! Glad to be in a club LOL
To me that looks like way over “700”...hours worth of great times hunting to accrue a wall like that!

Here's a couple more. The top one I shot at the long distance of ten yards while sitting in my brush pile blind with the ol 870. It happened quick so Nott much time to think, just react.
The other one I played a hunch that paid off. It was a pretty windy day so I used the angle of the wind to slip down into my woods hoping he would come out of the swamp to scent check the does before they came out to feed. When he showed up I remember my heart pounding so hard I couldn't hardly get his rack in the binos. But I seen that split on his G 2 for a brief nanosecond and knew or atleast thought it was him.
If you could somehow put those seconds or minutes of emotion in a bottle to sell, I'd be a rich man. But the way I see it , in so many ways, I already am.

Thanks, the one that's mounted was the oldest of the 3. For the NLP you just have to adjust your expectations, I'm obviously okay with bucks like this representing the top end. I will say this, with more bucks having 5 on a side, scores have a chance to climb a bit. For a long time the largest rack we ever took was a giant 6 point from 1999. It was a massive fork horn with brow tines. Judging by the genetics his kind bred a lot. That dude had 23-24" main beams.
If anyone would like to share how many total deer(or just bucks) that have been taken from your property or from your deer camp that would be interesting.
For some smaller properties or camps, getting to 50 is a good goal. For larger farms in deer rich areas getting to 500 might be a more likely goal.
Also, any camps or properties have at least 50 or more different hunters take at leat 1 deer from that camp or property ?

I’m pretty sure we have killed 66 bucks off the farm in Coldwater and a 126 deer total. My buddy bought it in 1998 and I started hunting it in 2000, the number of deer harvested has steadily declined as our standards have gone up. One of our buddies stopped hunting the farm and he killed a pile of deer there. He wasn’t very selective of the deer he shot and wasn’t happy with the direction our harvest goals were heading. I average a buck every other year, tomorrow we are heading out to collect a few doe’s for the freezer!
