(Delayed report) Sunday 7/13/25 - 7:00-9:30pm. Fished 75-110FOW south of Grand Haven pier, SOG 2-2.4mph. First king at about 7:30pm on 11" Kevin's GF w/ pickle sunshine fly behind mag dipsy diver 95fow back 80' on 1.5 setting. Last fish was a cluster. Rigger popped, reeled like crazy to get the line tight, grabbed the rod, dropped the rod, broke rod tip, tangled in the dipsy, took forever to reel in both lines by myself but managed to land the fish. Rigger bite was around 9:15pm on in-troll 75-80fow down 50' frog-type spoon pattern. Ended 2/2 both kings in the 12-15# range. Good luck out there, keep them reports coming boys!

Fished out of Muskegon this morning had a late start when I noticed my motor wasn't peeing. A mud dauber had decided my water hose was a good place for a nest. After getting that cleaned out we set lines around 715. First fish was a 12 lb king ona NBK on a 10 color the next was a nice steelie on the same set up. After watching multiple fish come up and look at a rigger and leave i changed the menue. Shortly after the change picked up a 15 lb king on the caramel dolphin slider about 42 feet down. I run fixed sliders and the ball was set at 53. That was it for the day all fish were in 100 to 115 fow.

Fished out of Whitehall last night. Ended 4-5 all hits came between 8:20 and 9:45. 2 hits on the 10-color with an RV flounder pounder, 1 hit on the 300 copper with a mag Mongolian beef. 1 hit on the high diver 155 back with a blue/chrome flasher and blue moonshine fly. 1 hit on the downrigger down 80 with a white flasher and blue fly.

All hits between 95 and 110 fow. Temp 80 down was 52-53. We slid out to 120 for a bit and the temp was 48-49, but didn't find any fish there. Marked a few fish early in the evening, but very little after that. Everybody we talked to had about the same luck. Biggest for us was about 12.5 pounds.

7/15/25 - 6:30-10:00pm. Fished 80-125FOW south of Grand Haven pier, SOG 2.2-2.5mph. All 3 of our bites were on a 300 copper with 8" dragon fly paddle and green fly. First bite around 8pm was a quick swipe and gone. Second bite around 8:30pm was a long battle only to be lost 40-50' from the back of the boat due to the fly leader wrapping around the treble hook... heartbreak city as it was a heavy fish. Last bite was unfortunately another quick swipe and gone before I grabbed the rod. All in all a bummer result, but a nice night out there. Lot of boats still out there in the 90-110fow well after 10pm

Went out of Port Sheldon this morning, took a bit to get my youngest out if bed, lines wet around 7am. Started in 100, out to 120, back to 90, then back out to 150. Missed 300cu r.c. , 250cu flounder pounder and several rigger pops. Had 2 hits on mag wire diver back 150 in 150fow with double slick pickled sunshine. Missed first, 2nd was 19 pound king that my son hauled. So, ended the day 1 for 6 or so, but at least got the boat best fish and a kid with sore arms.

We fished out of Whitehall last night, and only had two hits, both Kings, one 10 lbs and the other 20. The first came on a ten color and the second on a five color, both standard spoons. It was very strange that we never marked a fish the entire time we were out there, 75-135 fow.
OBTW, thank you to the crew that helped me look for my hearing aid at the ramp this morning as they were getting their boat ready to launch around 0430. We did find it later, so thank you for helping even though you should have been launching and chasing fish with your crew. That was a nice gesture and I appreciate you. I hope you guys smashed em!

Headed out tomorrow with the kids. With this big blow does anyone have an idea where a good starting point would be in the morning? I’m guessing the break will push up higher. Have been fishing 110-130’ 60-80 down. Thanks!

Nice fish. Heading to Whitehall tomorrow morning. I plan to run a spread of various spoons throughout the water column. Not sure what the wind/waves will do to where you found fish yesterday. Any particular colors or rigs that were working the best?
GH, straight out of the port between 130-150ft of water, blue jean spoon got 2 fish in the 300 weighted steel. 4 fish came on the riggers green and blue flys with green spin doctor. the water temp was 50 degrees around 70ft down. the speed 2.3-2.4 mph on the probe.

My son and I are going to give it a go in the morning. I fished Tuesday with another guy and we managed to go 10 for 11. Will probably be a different program in the morning with the temp changes.
