Taking the black gun back out to N. Dakota this summer. Shot 62 grain American Eagle last time I was out. Shot great out to 250 yards or so on the little doggies. Shoot this gun a lot in MI on chucks and on calm days it is ok out to 300+ yards. However I am ready to move up to a heavier bullet to help with wind drift (on the prairie) and hopefully tighten thjose long range groups up for the smaller atrgets out west. Have found a ammo supplier called Georgia Precision Shooting Products. They are offering 77 grain hollowpoint remanufactured ammo in .223 for $228.00 for 500 rounds. Anyone ever buy from them? Does anyone have any experience shooting this loading through their AR in that twist rate? If so. How do these haevy bullets shoot through your gun at longer ranges? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The 1:7 twist is fine for all .223 bullets up to 80 gr.

Try Cabela's for Black hills .223 ammo - their remanufactured and match loads are said to be equal to many top handloads, I know champion class NRA High Power Rifle target shooters who use it for 600 yard matches and swear by it.

Do not know anything about the Georgia ammo.
