Looks like it’s going to hit some high temps in my area for the opener, 72-75 degrees. The past few years it’s been cool/cold for the opener and I don’t think I’ve ever heard how warm weather affects birds or if you should change your tactics? Any tips for this unusual Michigan weather scenario?

Extremely bountiful season for myself, my father and brother. The little brother tagged out during the Indiana youth season, tagged out during the first hunt this spring in MI, followed by my father and I tagging out back to back days on May 10th-11th all before 7:15 AM! 4 toms successfully...

Some turkeys hunts have just an incredible story to them. Every one of them unique in they're own way. My pa in-law last season shot twice at a gobbler before connecting. The "look" on the turkeys face is too funny, almost like he dropped his head and tucked his shoulders after the first shot...

I have been using a dot sight made by Leapers/UTG in Livonia, MI for the past 3 season. It is their 6" T-Dot reticle (SCP-TDTDQ item#) which has performed above and beyond my expectations. This year I decided to try something new from them, a mini reflex dot sight. It looks great on the gun and...

Brother's Brad and Tony set out to get Brad his first bird in 9 years. Getting your first bird in a long time is even sweeter with your brother by your side. Who is going to be your turkey huntin buddy this spring? My kids are too young yet, but I can't wait for the day to get them out there...

Have you ever tried it? On this hunt we were on birds for 4 days and they kept giving us the slip. On the 4th day we made our own decoy by using a turkey fan, adhered it to a stick and stuck it in the ground. We sat on the bank of a creek in the weeds. Once these gobblers saw that fan flappin'...

Here is a video to get you all excited for the season that is fast approaching. Do you prefer to hunt in April, or take the option of the May hunt? I like May, simply because it gives me more time in the woods! Good luck to all.

After having a tough and my first miss ever last weekend at 25 which is a money shot 99.9% of the time, I had made the critical and dumbest error an 18 year old could have made. I never went out to the field and shot my new Turkey Thug. After a tough miss I decided to change from the 3rd Degree...

Curious, is there any rhyme or reason to the way you set up your decoys? I just bought a jake decoy this year, the funky chicken, and have only ever used a single hen decoy. So does it matter how I set these two up? For example, I'm thinking of having the jake behind the hen, as if preparing...

If this thread better belongs in the Out Of State section please move. Figured as the main topic was turkey hunting it would be better suited here and hopefully more replies. Anyway, I just started looking last night at putting together a last minute turkey hunt in OH this year. I've been...

As the title says, I'm curious as to what pop up blinds you all are using and the pros/cons to them. I've never had much luck with pop ups and it's been a few years since I've had one. Last one had most of the support rods broken from the wind. I'm hoping to take a bird with my compound this...

Need to upgrade and I am thinking of buying either the Mossburg 500 Turkey Thug or the Remington 870 Super Mag. Maybe some insider knowledge from owners of either will make the choice more clear.

Was reading in Spring 2018 digest that stalking birds with fanning decoys will no longer be legal. Can someone confirm and/or have any input on the situation if it will effect your hunting or not.
