Looking for a pair of carp rods, preferably nothing too expensive. Grand Blanc areas, but can travel.

I was just curious if anyone has fished for carp, or seen any in the Black River (the section that flows into the St. Clair River). I'm gonna go fishing there this Friday and try for some carp and was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Any replies are very appreciated. :)

I know that people catch carp from the Detroit River but I've never heard of anybody fishing for carp on the St. Clair River. Has anyone ever caught or seen any on the St. Clair?
