I made it from the data set you linked to. They have a CSV file download option so I created a pivot table in excel

Since there has been a general increasing trend year over year, plot the difference between 2020 and 2019. The difference in January and February could be used as an estimate of the non-COVID annual increase, or better yet go back to the middle of last year. Then integrate the difference from March through July for the 2019-2020 delta and subtract off the previously calculated non-COVID YOY increase monthly. This should give a good estimate on total COVID deaths which includes all the cases without COVID on the death certificates but still linked, be it suicides or violent crimes or other health issues because regular medical care was shut down.

I want to see the final report on my desk by 8am and I will give you demerits for poor penmanship.

I agree with the process but I think it could be better taking annual trend into account rather than just 2019. I suspect if I were to plot full years there would be trends within the years as well (like more in winter vs summer or vice versa)

Be interesting to see if this doesn't start a baby-boom of it's own.

What I get is that you, Petro and Lund have your head so far in the sand you cannot answer a simple question without adding context to the question that was not present

Eh... a false claim was presented.

Did you take it at face value?

I didn't question the claim. I was very specific to say data

How many deaths do you currently feel are unaccounted for in the last 8 weeks? 100k?
