My folks brought me back a bottle of the Bob Gibson sauce when they were down south several years ago. Personally I wasn't a fan but I'm not that big into mayo either. It was best on chicken IMO

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I like it. I've only ever had it on chicken. It might be OK on pork, I couldn't imagine it on beef though. The key is good mayo, Hellman's (not lite, and no Miracle Whip is not mayonnaise, it's salad dressing).

  3. I've had Gibson White BBQ sauce and I am not a big fan. However, Gibson RED bbq sauce is one of my favorites. http://bigbobgibson.com/championship-red-sauce-1-19-oz-bottle/

It is good but put away the store bought mayo and make it yourself it well make that recipe even better. Imho it's only good on chicken.

Andrew Zimmern just had it featured on Bizarre Foods coming from Birmingham,AL. They drink the stuff down there on all of their chicken.
I'm not sure, I'd have to dab my finger in it first before I give it a go.

Isn't this just slaw dressing? I guess I I do love a cream slaw with my smoked meats.

Was in Nashville earlier this summer.
Waiter suggested Alabama White on the wings and it was AWESOME!
Brought home 2 bottles and it's fantastic on grilled wings.
    Get frozen bag of Tyson.
Thaw and grill (no seasoning needed)
    When wings are done..
Pour some sauce in bowl, dip wing in bowl and put back on the grill.
Let go for minute or 2 more.
Then 1 last bath in sauce and serve.

    Pics are of Martin Sauce
Also comes close is Dukes Mayo recipe (sold at Walmart) to make your own.

    Enjoy![IMG][IMG][IMG]

Can you buy Dukes in Michigan now? I had a colleague that would buy a case of it when he was down south and bring it back north with him. It's good stuff. I use it for making my spicy mayo. I'm gonna have to visit Mall Wart soon...

@pilatusbahn I pulled my quotes from the Tartar sauce thread:

Just dehydrate your favorite hot peppers until they are crackly-dry and then grind them into a powder using a coffee grinder and add to the jar of Mayo. Mix thoroughly. Let it sit in the fridge overnight. Enjoy.
