No launch but I've fished it by inflatable boat. Some nice LM bass in Haithco.

Fished Crystal in Montcalm County. Caught a few little ones. Nice day. Going to Clare next week.

Wiggins sbd Pratt lakes are almost due west of what was wixom. I’ve fished Wiggins which, has decent bass, lot of panfish ,and hammer handles. Never fished Pratt yet however, it is on the to do list.

There is the maple river south of hubbardston. The launch there is a state launch but, it’s basically just a gravel launch with no dock. There is a bathroom there though.

Muskrat lake East of millington but, again the launch is just a dirt landing going into the lake. You will need a 4x4 due to the ruts. Small boat will bass through the tube to main lake

Pratt's lake has been pounded pretty hard the last few years due to postings on places like this.

Several very good lakes for fishing in Ogemaw & Iosco counties with public launches. Hit them when the ski boats are dormant and they can be excellent at times.

I'd say Lake Lancer (Sugar Springs) or Lake Saint Helen. If you want a lake, Saginaw isn't the best area (grew up there). The Saginaw River is generally a great time. If you just want to catch fish, it's hard not to catch Sheepshead and White Bass right now.

Fished Crystal (Montcalm), Windover and Wiggins last three times out. Not much luck on Crystal, got chased off Windover by lightning. We got one keeper pike and three smaller fish on Wixom yesterday.
Is anyone fishing the Saginaw river these days?

Thanks Piketroller. If you are talking about Gull lake it is about 2 hours and 15 minutes drive. I have no problem driving, but can't drive 5 hour round trip and keep my son interested. Thanks again

A friend hit Wiggins, Pratts and Sugar Springs Sunday morning and couldn't even find a place to park. With four big lakes shut down our smaller lakes are really taking a beating.
