Anybody out the fished smallmouth off wilderness state park by boat ? Usually do it every year in waders and its a great time. Just don't know how or where you'd launch a boat near the area. Usually fly fish but see guys drop shotting and cranking hard baits as well. Riot on fly rod.

Are you permitted to launch smaller boats at the dirt ramp into Sturgeon Bay? We took some kayaks out of there last year, but was thinking about taking a small boat that we could drag into the water this summer. I obviously wouldn't want to get out into any big water, but if it is calm I think it would be ok in the bays.

We have many times but mostly wade now. Most of the boat fishing is throwing tubes, twisters, swim baits n cranks on the north side of the point. Mostly out around the cut. Some great boat fishing can be found in Cecil Bay also. We always launch from the campground. Come on July vacation!!!! Shrubby
