Anyone fishing anywhere else other than downstate?
Nope. Ice went out too late and my trout stream all blew out with the quick thaw. I'll head north next weekend.
Fished the Grand River Saturday & Sunday out of the Grand Haven area. Fish are scattered through the system. Ran crawlers different ways with some success. But we fished long and hard, hitting multiple spots. Surface water was in the 50's which surprised me.
Water is to cold
Fished the NE, and did well on walleye. Casting, jigging, and drifting all produced. Most eyes are post spawn, but some were still milking.
17 eyes in 3 trips for me. Good luck getting the name of the lake from me though. Hahaha. Water is definitely not too cold. 55 degrees on both the lakes I've been on. Actually I don't think the water is ever too cold. They are there just gotta get em too bite. I've heard many good reports the past week, people just don't post pics all over the internet of lakes that can't support the pressure like Sag, det, erie, lsc etc.
I got one it Ypsi at night with cut bait while i was trying to fish for cats
