Nice mixed bag today pheasants in the morning and grouse in the afternoon unfortunately missed the only woodcock seen today.
Looks like a nice week coming up. Have lots of days off after tomorrow. Hoping to get some photos ops. Might even take a day and head down state to look for a pheasant. Anybody within Gaylord range or east this week that wants to head out, let me know. I got a couple spots I want to hit again. The cover might be more conducive for two shooters. Fair warning. I still hold amateur status and have a young dog. Oh, have a few bumps and bruises annoying me so a little cussing might be involved.
All great pictures !!
Kids first wild Michigan rooster.
Here is Vince ready to roll. He is way too serious for a 1 year old puppy. lol
Now that is a calculating face. Beautiful pup. Serious question though. Are those awesome ears susceptible to injury by large briar thorns?
No ear problems yet with my Bracci. They have a pretty thick hide.
Remi's first bird
Flushed one with the pick up on the way home from deer hunting this morning. Hopefully thats a sign of good things to come for the weekend.
That's a beautiful dog!
Almost a three man limit. We spent well over an hour trying to find number 6 a cripple.
It was a fabulous day but wet.
Thanks Pheasants Forever!
Decided to head north and hunt grouse this afternoon. Had 10 contacts in 3 hours with 6 birds pointed and 4 wild flushes. Very good day and even better dog work.
Nice...I like the dogs that look like they don’t want to be posing for pictures. Would rather keep hunting.
