I took my CPL class last January (2018) and never got around to the fingerprinting and registration phase. Does the training cert expire if you dont finish the process in your County by a certain time? I live in Oakland County in case it makes a difference. I think ya got 6 mo. to get the ball rolling. Otherwise, redo. Call your local PD. Or MSP Part of service.

Yes. The Training Certificate you received from the CPL Class in Michigan you took expires 5 years from the date on the certificate. This took effect in 2015 I believe. The NRA recommends 1 year, but state of Michigan is 5 years. The CPL Division at MSP is a great resource to use as well they will provide links for you so you can quickly find the proper statues of the laws and regulations. The Number there is 517-284-3700. Hope this helps.
