Damn, even a Noob got that right.
I can guarantee if you sell it to a dealer at a gun show you are going to get hosed. Before going that route and like I previously wrote contact Art's Guns in Hillsboro, MO. Your pistol appears to be in great shape and you should be able to get a good/fair price for it but that won't happen at a gun show. Call Art's. If you do I'd appreciate some feedback from you.
I wanted Tam to contact you because I knew you would cut through the crap and give him the best advice. He’s a new guy around here and I did not want him to get led astray.
Thanks. I hope I gave him some good advice - mostly avoid selling firearms to a dealer at a gun show unless your desperate for cash in hand.
I have cash............
But I'm still lusting after that Springfield EMP 4" Carry Cut...........
I have bought many guns from individuals at gun shows and I am not a dealer.Paid fair prices for fair value.Happy seller, happy buyer.
Several gun shows now have rules against person to person sales and require sales to go through dealers.
where?I know there are laws pertaining to handgun sales, but all the shows I have been to in the last 10 yrs have allowed face to face sales between residents of the state as long as fed. and state laws were followed.
I offered my* Buddies 9mm Belgium Hi Power to a guy with a similar user name, now it's worth twice that amount
I should have traded my G19.3 for it when I had the chance
* disclaimer, Seller was in SE MI with HiPower, I never had possession of said item, was merely hooking someone up.
Hey Siding Guy,
Thank you again for the heads up regarding the Gaylord gun show. We are heading down there tomorrow.
Sorry for the late reply. I did not get the email notification that there was more action on this thread.
We are going to go to the Gaylord show tomorrow, and will be seeking a private party. I am unwilling to part the 9mm Hi-power for a low price.... It is way too nice for that.
If that fails I will contact Art's Guns in Hillsboro, MO. as you have suggested. Though I feel a bit shy mailing it off.
For what it's worth.
Thank you for the info.
I would be interested to know if they get that much for it....
I guess I'd follow it and see...
Good luck, and thanks for the reply.
