I've got an old Starcraft that belonged to my dad I'd like to sell.
Year unknown, early 70's would be my guess, with what I think is a 40 HP Evinrude and a shorelander trailer.

The engine starts and runs, but only if bypass the solenoid. So bad solenoid? or bad key switch?
The boat needs some work, but is in OK condition overall. Wiring is a mess, some of the wood is soft.
Trailer is a shorelander and is in pretty decent shape.

Might make a good layout tender boat, or a project for someone.

What do you think would be a fair asking price?

A few thousand, as a guess. Soft wood will be an objection to many. Messy wiring will be an objection to some.

If you can get good visibility/promotion through multiple listings, it might sell during the spring rush of boat sales.

Engine cowel looks like it's a '63. 40 Big Twin is a good motor. Learned to ski behind a 33 Ski Twin. Prob 1500 if the boat runs ok.

Yeah I would guess $1200-1500 if it doesn't leak.

My late father had a Starcraft extremely similar to yours with the same Shorelander trailer but it had a 25HP Johnson. Boat sold a couple years ago for $1,500 if this helps ya.
