Wife woke me up @ 5 this morning and says " i think i'm having contractions" (due date was friday so no big deal). This is our fourth child so i figure "ahhh... we got at least 5-6 hrs before the baby comes..." I went back to sleep. Wife wakes me up about 1/2 hour later and says we need to get going. O.k.... I get up, call my dad, get our other girls around. Wife say "tell your dad he might want to hurry"....

I have everything ready to go in a few minutes and waiting for my dad to show wich would be any second. As i step out the door i hear her give a moan of pain and start yelling for me. I step in the house and she says "my water broke and i think the baby is coming" I was hesitant at first that it was coming untill i seen her make it about ten feet and about calapse ,in wich she said" i think it crowning". I got her on the bed and yep... its coming.:yikes:

My dad called emergency and they sent out an ambulance. Then it got stuck in the driveway...... So an hour later the wrecker was able to get out and off they went.

everything went well overall. At the hospital now and they say everything is alright. :)

    Quite a morning....:dizzy:

Healthy baby girl (that makes 4 girls) 7 pounds elevin ounces

Ah, I fixed that for him. Congrats to you and your wife Boomer.

I was up at 5am as well. Caught a little tv then thought I was going to nuke the ground bee's that stung the crap out of me 2 weeks ago. At 7am the bee's were already active and swarmed the hive entrance just because I was standing there watching them from about ten feet. I have never seen such agressive Bee's. It was in the 40's this morning. I thought for sure they would be dormant for a little bit. A couple of cans of Bee spray have not even bothered them. rrrgh!

    Congrats.

Just think of all the money you saved insurance with the home birth method.

Non of our 5 were quite that exciting though.

    Congrats!

My youngest came in a similar situation. I delivered her in the front seat of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Wife woke up about 2am when her water broke and we were on the road at 2:05. I made it to the ER door at the hospital, and it was game on by the time I made it to the passenger side door. Quite the experience, that's for sure.
