Bell's Christmas Ale (Scotch Ale)
I'm no expert on Scotch ales, but "Yum!". Once again, Bell's does not disappoint.
Picked up a sixer with another of Porter, along w some wine to bring to a Thanksgiving invite. Guy at shoppe said he 'heard it has a spice flavor'. Nope, not imo. I couldn't resist and had to crack one open. It has a great rich taste but not heavy, with a clean finish. I don't drink much anymore, and after pounding one I've a nice little beer buzz.
Label says, "This traditional Scotch Ale is rich and malty with notes of caramel and a warm finish. Certain to make any occasion festive, or at least a bit more bearable. Enjoy with the company of friends and family."
LOL. Will definitely be cracking at least one of these, and a Porter, starting around noon for the Lion's game.
Sweetwater IPA & yuenling.the Sweetwater is one smooth drinking beer not to bitter with a citrus kick.
Did a little Christmas shopping tonight on the way home from work:
4 magnums and a decent jug of bourbon and there goes a C-note.
Alaskan Winter...Surprisingly full of flavor! would recommend.
If anyone up that way is interested, my daughter reports that the Meijer in TC has about 20 bottles of CBS on the shelf
