Went last night south of Algonac and we got a few shy of a four man limit. But the best part of the night was my dad landing a 57” sturgeon after a 35 min fight. It surfaced multiple times and didn’t break his line! My dad said its the biggest fish he has ever caught! We handled the fish very carefully and released him and watched him swim away! Very nice, I would be afraid to catch one that size. I am usually out by myself and most likely might injure a fish like that. I am not sure what I would do.

    Good for you guys

If we didn’t have 4 guys we wouldn’t of even tried to bring it in the boat.

Smiles in the picture say it all !! Hell of a fish. I might make it that way just to hook 1 of those giants. Buddy said his son hooked 1 yesterday evening too but lost it. Would've been their 2nd of yr jigging.

In the last week We have hooked into at least 5. Between deckers and the ferry. First one we have landed. Usually we cut the line or they break off pretty quick. I have to give it to my dad for staying on that fish. He uses a 5’ rod with 8# suffix braid.
