Got this on trailcam it was with mom with the same look but not as severe. Tapatalk will only let me upload one photo. Northern oakland county state land. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't see anything abnormal. The fawn is loosing its spots, you can see the last bit of them on its back leg, so maybe its shedding hair. It just looks like its fur is a little roughed up on its front shoulder and neck maybe from walking thru brush. Looks like it has some briars or stick-tights on it but that's all. Again don't see anything odd about the tails either. Doe looks like a normal doe I would expect to see coming into the fall, a good looking, healthy deer. Maybe I'm missing something?
Besides loosing its spots and summer coat, I see some shadows. Other than that, it’s coat has the rigors of living out in the wilderness 24/7. Sent from my iPhone using Michigan Sportsman
I guess your probably right. It’s just that other deer I have seen just have there normal smooth uniform coats. The blotches on moms rear just seems unusual. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It probably has to do with the camera and sunlight also like stated above. Here’s the same camera with different lighting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Losing summer coat, could also be from scratching ticks. Sent from my iPhone using Michigan Sportsman
