I’m annoyed at my Weather channel app on my phone, I live on the hourly forecast with the wind direction. I check it a lot on stand almost as much as Michigan sportsman, what app do you guys use its time to get a different one.

HuntStand has been pretty accurate for me...but not sure where they get their weather info from. It does seem to differ at times from the Android AccuWeather wedge on my phone so if they get it there it's not a real-time sync.

My cousin has the weather channel app too. I use Accuweather, as their "real-time" and short term forecast and radar seem to be the most accurate to me. They are never the same, but Accuweather seems to be right more often.

The wind direction on my OnX seems to be accurate, not sure where they get theirs from either. I have never checked.

Wunderground, you can check the weather stations that are around you and get a accurate wind speed and direction.

I use Wunderground, MyRadar, Hi-Def Radar, Accuweather and Wind Compass. I was just about to spring for Dark Skies when an update seemed to screw up the app beyond redemption so I passed.

All apps have their issues. My main interest is wind direction and precipitation so I do OK with these and use the last two before every sit.

WeatherUnderground and Windy are my two goto weather apps. WU has the most localized weather from the network of personal weather stations. I have one myself.

Since I fish the great lakes, wind is pretty important to me. I use free Sailflow, Windfinder, and Weather Channel.
Hunt Stand is a new addition, and seems to have some nice features.

Anyone else having trouble with the wind feature on onX? Everything else is working fine, so it isn’t poor signal.

It’s been not working my last couple hunts.

I just use a weather app and then adjust for actual wind when I get close. I’m not married to a spot hunting from the ground, so that definitely helps.

The weather function on my ONX has worked once in the last 5 days. So that’s getting annoying. Also, when zooming in/out, the compass icon would show up in the upper right corner. That has been very inconsistent also. Not very pleased with the ONX app right now.
