    Use sunscreen and lip balm!

I was out fishing with a friend this weekend. I saw something on his lip. When I asked him about it he passed it off as a cold sore. He said it had been there for awhile.

I took a long look at it, and I'm convinced that it's CANCER. Most likely basal cell, but it will need a biopsy.

He's out in this sun daily, and doesn't take precautions. I use sun screen, but have forgotten about lip balm.

    I'll be adding that.

There is a form of herpes that forms from sun burn. I took a friend out in an aluminum boat once. Next day he looked like a duck lmao. Idk if the "internet" says that, but the doctors did.

For years I never used sunscreen. I have two good friends that fish just about as much as I do. One had to get a biopsy on his nose and the other on his lip.

It ain't no joke! As much as we all hate the stuff it will stop issues down the road.

With all that being said I have a spot on my nose that I need to get checked out. :/

Herpes from the sun? How does the sun infect you with a virus?

Sunscreen is important. I have to admit I don't always take the time to apply it, but I've definitely used it more since watching a person in their early 20's die of melanoma.
