So is the Detroit police taking in the homeless like Alaska dose tonight and tomorrow? I'll be driving around tomorrow in the D looking for vets or anyone damn near freezing to death. Every one is worth saving in my eyes mainly vets.
Well change of plans was going to go help at a soup kitchen after work. But my truck barley made it to work would not stay running had to two foot it and it still would die every minute. So looks like the old pos is getting a tuneup tonight. The percs of having a 30 pluse year old truck.
It does not say much for a country that abandons it's veterans. There should be no need for you to do this. Thank you for your concern.
Actually times like this is when they can easily find shelter. Everyone gets excited and all of a sudden they're getting fed and sleeping in a warm place. Same as a good meal at Thanksgiving or Christmas. The problem is no one cared in November and December when it wasn't an emergency and the homeless were cold and hungry then too. What I'm saying is true and not sarcasm. My wife's worked in the business of helping them and it's just how it is despite it being a chitty thing...
I wish I had hit one of those super big lotteries. I would love to have the ability to help with some real changes for some of them, not just temporary shelter.
Here is a cheap and easy way to help. Menards has winter gloves for $1.99 ! They're not expedition quality, but might make all the difference to someone on the streets. I've been buying and handing them out. Great with some handwarmer & toe warmer packets. https://www.menards.com/main/home-d...03-c-7085.htm?tid=-999480782494396895&ipos=24
