Four hours is just the minimum. Sometimes my internal watch is a bit slow when beer is involved. The best part is the longer you cook that sucker the better. It is not a time sensitive operation as long as it is enough time. If there was any prions present I am sure they swirl down the hole with the rest when I trigger the lever. You have a better chance of getting hit in the head by a meteorite than getting CWD. In the history of mankind only one of the two things has actually happened.

Reminds me of the scene in "My Cousin Vinny" with the magic grits lol.

Some dishes take time to build flavor (like chili) or tenderize (like neck roast).

I guess all I'm sayin is don't knock it til you try it done right. It's not like you gotta babysit it for 4 hours. It's just a few minutes work to prep at say lunch time, then its ready at dinner. I suppose it's not for everyone.

Use a turkey roaster.Lightly brown meat add spices lipton onion soup mix lots of mushrooms and water to barely cover ...simmer all day until very tender .Take meat off bone leave in liquid and make gravy ...serve over mashed potatoes or noodles topped with sour cream .Yum yum .Freeze what you don't finish but best the first time .

Thanks for the tips. I'll skip the mushrooms though. There is nothing more disgusting to me.

I would’ve bet the farm I get a deflection for an answer. Even this kindergartener banged that one home!

43rd time's the charm? CWD regulations should allow those who want to take a yearling buck to do so, no need to force the issue or expect those who don't want to take one to do so. Exactly the same as antlerless. Some believe otherwise, I don't. Get it?

    I can only imagine ...

"WELCOME to the MIDWEST CWD MEETING"
    "First order of business ..."
"How can we get hunters to reduce population densities while limiting buck-age structure"?

    "CRICKETS"!!!!
