I have a S&W model 629-6 (44 magnum) with a 5" barrel that has only had 50 rounds through it and I'm thinking of giving it to my brother in exchange for his 410/45 Thompson Contender from about 1990 that he never uses. I want to give him the better deal on the trade but I'm not sure if the TC is worth more or less than the S&W. I'm sure both guns are basically like new. I would say my S&W 629 is worth approximately $700. How much is the TC worth? thanks,

The contender with that barrel is worth $500 tops on a good day. I would say you are treating your Brother really really well on that deal.

Agree. The 629 is a nice gun in .44 mag. It's on my list.
