It is a massive wound. But no blood coming out and looks to be dryed up. Who knows. Dang nice rack on him

Don't count him out until you find him or his rack. They are really tough animal's.

Surprisingly, if you watch the deer walk and ignore the massive wound and shoulder blade moving he appears to be making it around pretty darn good for the circumstances.

Pretty crazy if it is real. I'll believe it when someone post follow up pics. Looks like someone cut the backstrap out, lol. Not even a limp or impaired movement in any way. Color me very skeptical.

@bmoffit heard that those old bucks are tough.
He found one sleeping and wanted to see for himself before he spent a tag on him.

Too bad he woke up and sauntered off....

I agree that it's incredibly crazy to see. But man if that is fake, its VERY well done. Not sure I've seen movies that good.

I was skeptical at first as well, but in watching the muscle movement it certainly appeared real.

Deep down I really hope it is a fake, if infection doesn't win, it won't be able to keep warm and die of hypothermia.

Oh it's a video of a real deer walking. It's the perfectly extracted back strap that makes me skeptical. People do amazing computer work theses days. Maybe it's real. I just don't think so.

So where did all these stealthy combines come from this year? There was the story about the kid in youth hunt and now this......I cant wrap my head around not being able to get out of the way of a combine at 3mph with the noise they make.

Is the backstrap actually missing? It looks flat and dried up a bit but I don't see any bone where I'd expect if a backstrap was cut out.
