I'll start off with a quick question. Has anyone fished Thumb Lake in the Spring for bass? It hit last month for the first time, and I must say it's one of the most beautiful lakes to be on. I think the only way I'd fish it again would be in the spring when the bass start to move up. The bass did seem healthy that I caught last month.

It can be very productive for Smallmouth. I'm more of a trout guy, but one of my good friends fishes it in the spring and gets some really nice Smallmouth.

Thumb lake is gorgeous. Caught a few small mouth there, down in front of the public beach. It seems like people were ice fishing for smelt there too.

I wonder if there is no water outlet there as the water level was so high and it hadn't rained for a while.
