Coming from crocker would be risky with the current around beacons cove. I'd launch at the daysail personally.

After being off for a few seasons, I was starting to wonder if any of you guys were still around.

id be cautious out there. 40 mph winds out of north i wouldn't be surprised if access at cotton is wide open. That and dirty water. Hope this wind doesn't knock power out....

Lot of ice out there to push any of it out... There were some cracks I crossed between selfridge and cotton though but don't think they'll budge since they seemed to be 8+" of ice just from looking at them. Let's hope cotton holds, sure it will being it's only gonna be 15* in the a.m.

Yeah I'm sure it'll be fine. On the fence right now of making a midnight run to simcoe. High winds and wind chills say idiot stay home. Oh well. Next weekend I suppose another long work week till than

I wouldn't go out far.And honestly you don't really need a machine if you can't so why bring one unless maybe someone is unable to walk much.If it gets to noisy out there fishing may be harder for everyone. A machine here and there may move fish around but to many is never good especially in shallow areas.

Not to mention you could slip and fall. Especially with those 30 mph winds. Just got home from work mega nasty weather.

Truth is my weather station got a peak wind gust of 37mph. It's howling!

So have I.And sometimes it doesn't matter at all But I've also had fish under me and had machines, gas augers, and even cleats run the fish out from under me.Crunching ice under the shanty as well. It's always better to be quiet in shallower water.Even throwing a fish back can spook them off.As of right know you have to work for them and if your on them wouldn't you want to keep them under you as long as possible. The fishing's been good for some but it's not stacked with fish but maybe today will be different.Good luck everyone!
