I remember seeing a pic from Manistee or Ludington a few years back where they planted a bunch of browns in a harbor and within a day the same water was covered with fat cormorants.

Heard a rumor... Homeowner on the Betsie was assaulted by 2-3 fishermen. Was reported that he approached them for trespassing on his property. Climbed his fence to get to a fishing spot. If true, what is going on with people, my gosh!

Ho boy, if true we wonder why previlages are taken away by the minute. Knuckle heads. Perhaps a trip behind the wood shed is in order. If true and without details, who knows anymore. Lunacy continues. As for the relentless cormorants, Tuesday evening it was a calm evening where I’m at. Wife and I took an evening walk along the harbor and we sat for a bit. Water gin clear, I watch 3 birds put a hurt on countless pan fish. Without embellishment I could clearly see a dozen perch about 4” long inhaled. A few sunfish that I wouldnt think they could swallow and the bay is full of 8-10” largemouth. Boy did they do a number on them. I would estimate 35-40 fish were enjoyed by only 3 cormorants. The event took place over a 15 minute span and the birds just climbed back on the dock. They were so close I could clearly see the fish species. If there wasn’t so many people around I might have grabbed the wrist rocket from the truck and had some fun.
