I would agree. I think the flu will be minimal.

Since the Rona, I have had to move my desk to a small office in the plant. It's now the only phone in the supervisors office I have to share space with, that has a real telephone.....one that reaches the PA system for paging and everything else inter-plant they can't do on a "smartphone".

I am burning through the alcohol wipes! Not just because of the Rona, but strep and other bugs...EFF-THAT ****!

I keep my hands sanitized around the work place and after using gas pumps or using public doors. I use my foot to open doors where possible.

We just had another one out for a week. His wife had or has Rona. Still avoiding that one mask or no mask.

I''ve got 20 years left to play the market. That said, I've done very well transferring money within my accounts, speculating on stocks, metals, and other things.

Panic hardly. It's being smart. I started dabbling with a small account and once I learned I was doing better, consistently, than my managed accounts I scaled up.

Last check this year I was up double digits percentage wise whereas if I'd done nothing I'd barely be about even. The delta moves my retirement up a year.

Yeah, but could have move to Cash in March, not lost a dime, and made Bank on the bounce. It works.

Would bonds give sort of the same protection?

This. Even if you miss the initial drop point but sell before bottom and then get back on somewhere during the climb...small gains make an epic difference when you're talking compounding interest.

If you timed everything perfectly..... and were lucky as hell. It’s real easy with the benefit of hindsight to time the market. At the time though, nobody knew what the market was going to do. I seriously doubt there were that many people that timed the market perfectly, and if they did they can credit it to luck more than anything else.

Yep. That is why we aren't all billionaires.

In fact moving money in and out in the long run is usually bad... you'd make more just dollar cost averaging. That's assuming average investors. I'm thinking MS doesn't have many professionals.

Not sure how a wave comes about, maybe its just bad luck. In the last 2-3 weeks I've had a good friend who died from it, the wife's cousin shipped to GR and has been put on a ventilator, and now today, our middle son has been admitted into their local hospital after testing positive.

    This SUCKS!
